Week , um ...

Okay so apologies to all those hanging out for posts on this blog !! Instead of weekly posts -I will just pop in with a few pics during the term ...here's a few snaps ..
I brought in plenty of gorgeous fruit to draw and paint ,we used watercolours and beautiful,beautiful coloured inks ..Im super proud of these amazing artworks ,and of the very capable artists themselves !! Cheers Adriana

last class for term one !

Tuesday 13th March was the last class for the term, and we planted up the little planters that
we made last week with little pansies..well they will be when they grow a bit more!!
here's a few pics...

Then we drew our planters in pencil and also pastels.... this was the last class for the term, so quick sticks to re-enrol at Burrinja's Box Office for Term 2 !! Now open to the whole WORLD !!

Budding artists.....

Today's class worked  really hard,but it isnt really work is it ?
...especially when such amazing work is
produced by these budding artists !!

Firstly  they chose a portrait from a newspaper/magazine cutting  an drew that on cartridge paper
with greylead..then we had fun and drew  the portrait on the scratchy art paper..which is a bit like when you covered the paper with black pastel then scratch a pattern away!
Another portrait on scratchy paper , and placed over a card which has been decorated with coloured inks...

Here's the rest of the work..dont you think they are great? I do !!

Im super proud of everyone's efforts....we may have to plan an  EXHIBITION !!!!

making art in Week 2!

So, we are back making artwork!!
Today was week two,i didn't have my camera with me last week, so will post some pics up later!!


We  cut out butterfly or moth shapes,used  oil pastels to decorate them, then used FABULOUS
colored inks over the top.have a look..

thanks for enrolling through Burrinja,first time and it worked beautifully !
YES we are BACK this coming Tuesday...7th of Feb..at Burrinja..11am-12pm
don't forget your smocks..and maybe a hand towel might be handy..think we might just do CLAY !!

Family Workshop and 2012 classes and enrolement

Well Ive been a bad little blogger !!
Weeks 5&6 whoosed past with lots of gorgeous artwork made ,and a lost camera and just pure EXAUSTION ! So sorry !!
BUT i DO have some pics of our Artists work...
As you might know , during the year at the end of each session, we do a few quick sketches..well, i chose my favourite from each child and put them into a little frame..heres the gallery....

And on the last day , some families participated in a Family Artwork...
We had great big ENOURMOUS canvas's..everyone painted  them ,and decorated with collage..then the tricky part...cutting up a photo of the family  ,then reproducing 'bits' sketching them...and jigsaw-ing it all back together again....also a coat of PVA glue(which dried clear,just looks foggy when wet!)

ENROLEMENT for classes in Term One 2012, are now being taken by Burrinja...
When: Tuesday 11am-12pm.  Commences 7th February and ends 13th March.
Cost: $95.00 (includes all materials)
